Dolmen Conservation successfully tendered for the specialist timber repairs on the Nave, West Towers and Aisle roofs within Canterbury Cathedral as part of the Canterbury Journey.
This is a 4-year project that commenced in June 2017. We have now successfully completed the structural timber repairs in the Cathedral Nave Roof. This has included numerous inner and outer wall plate repairs and replacements, purlin replacements / repairs and a range of other structural carpentry that will ensure the roof is ‘fit for purpose’ for many years to come.
